From Pastor Tracy:

I enjoyed creating a worship table that reflected the biblical stories that included the women, and the garden scenes – both the Garden of Gethsemane and the garden tomb. Purple is the traditional worship color for the season so splashes of purples on the table and draped from the cross and the beams were used to create a sense of being surrounded or covered in Lenten reflection, confession, and forgiveness – a focus on God’s grace and love. The statue reflected different women – the Samaritan woman who spoke with Jesus expanding the scope of his ministry to foreigners, or one of the women who stayed at the foot of the cross when Jesus was taking his last breath, or perhaps the angel that spoke to the women on Easter morning near the garden tomb, or lastly the women of the resurrection – the ones chosen to witness the resurrection and spread the good news.
